SPECIAL NOTE: Effective March 23, 2008 the non-refundable application fee for the Monacan Nation will be $25.00 If you have sent in your application and it is post-marked prior to this date you will only be charged the old fee.



April 10, 2008

The National D-Day Memorial will present "Erasing Native History: The Racial Integrity Act of 1924" on Thursday, April 10th at 7PM at the Bedford Welcome Center. Dr. Peter Houck, author of Indian Island, will discuss the act and its repercussions for generations of Virginia's native people as well as for historical researchers and scholars. Representatives with the National D-Day Memorial will also be on hand to discuss their research into the role of Virginia's native people in WWII and beyond. The public is invited to attend.
